Tlanextli collection

In collaboration with BANDIDO STUDIO

Inspired by the Nahuatl word meaning “radiant light” —as well as life experiences in the Mexican highlands—, Tlanextli celebrates the symbolic prominence of the sun and the dual relation between light and darkness, praised in several pre-Columbian inscriptions.

Obsidian, brass and onyx are some of the chosen materials that recreate the sacrality of natural contrasts between brightness and shadow: lava rising from Earth’s corners, sublunary textures that change according to daily light movements, the radiance kept by celestial bodies. In the end, darkness is what makes light possible.
